REPUBLICANS ALERT 27 REPUBLICANS ACTUALLY VOTED TO SAY THAT THEY ARE IDIOTS, REALLY

Twenty-seven Republicans voted to “disapprove” their own votes because they are idiots and this is a thing that actually happened. Yes, 27 Republican senators voted to disapprove of their own decision that they made not two weeks ago about the debt ceiling. The vote was “symbolic,” and the GOP are all about symbology because they are all card-carrying, actual, dictionary-defined idiots of the highest order. They seem to think that the f*cking government is some sort of Dan Brown novel and that it all has to make some sort of symbolic sense because reasons and oh god it’s way, way too early to start drinking, isn’t it? It’s way too early for that.

Anyway, Talking Points Memo describes it best, possibly because I cannot physically muster the energy needed to validate in my own words the sheer amount of vitriol and contempt I have for the GOP:

Even if it passed Congress, for the Republicans, it wouldn’t have stopped the debt limit hike because President Obama could veto the measure. The purpose was to give these senators the chance to say they disapprove of a deal they voted for.

So to make it 100% crystal clear, they voted — for no other reason than to go on record to be actual dicks — to negate themselves. This is without a doubt the dumbest f*cking article I have ever f*cking written and I demand a written apology from myself for writing it. That is basically what they’re doing. F*ck me. Hand me the scotch. Go Republicans!

Here’s the people that VOTED AGAINST THEMSELVES LIKE THE EMO SENATORS THEY ARE:

Alexander (R-TN)
Ayotte (R-NH)
Barrasso (R-WY)
Blunt (R-MO)
Boozman (R-AR)
Burr (R-NC)
Chambliss (R-GA)
Chiesa (R-NJ)
Coats (R-IN)
Cochran (R-MS)
Collins (R-ME)
Corker (R-TN)
Fischer (R-NE)
Flake (R-AZ)
Graham (R-SC)
Hatch (R-UT)
Hoeven (R-ND)
Isakson (R-GA)

McConnell (R-KY)
Moran (R-KS)
Murkowski (R-AK)
Portman (R-OH)
Thune (R-SD)
Wicker (R-MS)

Democrats opposed the original vote because Democrats aren’t controlled by agricultural conglomerates and/or the church/probably the Illuminati. OK. I’m done writing this article. It’s frankly depressing having to bring this kind of news to you guys. I really wanted to write about Katy Perry jumping rope but noooooooo, f*cking politics.
