Really Want to be Successful, How Can a Bucket List Change Your Life

Being successful is not easy. Hard work alone is not enough. You may have heard of the concept of a bucket list; basically, it’s everything you’d like to do in your lifetime; that is, before you ‘kick the bucket’.

There are probably countless experiences and goals you’d like to accomplish during your life; a bucket list helps you to visualize them, and focus on getting the most out of every single moment. Even if it’s just a routine day at home, there’s are steps you can take toward achieving your life goals.

What can I add to my bucket list?

The possibilities are endless! The most important thing is that you choose experiences that are right for you. Don’t feel that you need to skydive if you’re afraid of heights, and if you’ve always wanted to learn how to crochet, own it! Everyone is different, and all items on a bucket list are valid. If you’re looking for ideas, how about one of these?

  • Traveling around the world
  • Learning a new language
  • Swimming with dolphins
  • Writing a book
  • Learning to surf
  • Owning a holiday home
  • Flying in a hot air balloon
  • Watching a rocket launch
  • Running a marathon
  • Learning to play the piano

How do I start ticking things off?

Begin by figuring out which items you can start working on straight away. If you’d like to learn to play a musical instrument, find a local teacher or learning group. Head down to the musical instrument store or go online to find an instrument on which to practice. If you’re eager to write your memoir, get a pen and paper or open your laptop and start writing. It’s easier than you might imagine!

If you’re looking to buy your own holiday home, start by thinking about where you might like it to be; you could go for the mountains, a city townhouse, or maybe a lodge in the woods. A beach house is a universal favorite, and you can begin to search for properties, such as Forest Beach real estate, with a simple online search. Think about your budget, then start looking forward to sunny days beside the ocean!

For people who want to travel, go online or visit a travel agent to pick up some brochures. Set aside time with your partner or family to begin deciding the route you’d like to take, or the particular sights you’re interested in seeing. You can even integrate several items in one; choose a location that allows you to tick off a few experiences at a time. For example, if you want to swim with dolphins, watch a rocket launch, and learn to surf, a trip to Florida can help you achieve all of them. You might also be able to squeeze in a hot air balloon flight!

Goals that involve a personal achievement are also great for your self-esteem and general wellbeing. If you’ve always wanted to run a marathon, start small. Run around the block a few times, then progress to a mile, five miles, ten miles, then a half marathon. Consider entering a race or fun run so you can record your achievement. Keep building until you achieve your goal, then take time to celebrate!

Don’t forget that when it comes to your bucket list, only your rules apply! Have fun and good luck!
