Pro Fortnite Streamer Receives Shocking $75,000 Gift

PRO FORTNITE STREAMER FLOORED BY SHOCKING $75,000 GIFT

I don’t know much about Fortnite.  But I do know that a LOT of people play this game.  I even knew that some make, or try to make, money doing so.  But I had no idea you call them Streamers.  So this is a great feel-good story as introduction to what those young people are doing.  In this case, we have one pro Fortnite Streamer who uses the handle ExoticChaotic.  He’s been struggling to make ends meet.  So another Fortnite player, KingMascot, decided to give ExoticChaotic a shocking $75,000 gift.

HE WAS LITERALLY STUPEFIED WHEN THE NUMBER POPPED UP

ExoticChaotic has a Twitch feed (which essentially means there is a video) that shows his reaction in the moment.  “Wait a minute,” he said when the number popped up.  “That can’t be right….”  But it wasn’t a typo.  When he logged into his PayPal account the number was the same.  But it was also real.  He screamed, “DUDE!!!! WHAT IS THAT SHIT?!!!”  But you might, too.  The number was $75,000.  His friend KingMascot, you see, had made some serious money with Bitcoin and on the stock market.  He told media that his friend ExoticChaotic, “hasn’t been in the best spot for money his whole life.  He deserves it more than anyone.”

THE WORLD HAS CHANGED, PRO VIDEOGAMING NOW A NORMAL JOB

So for us who knew the 1970’s actually were real, it’s a new world.  ExoticChaotic is a professional game player.  According to him, “I do not have a very high income.  My girlfriend has worked full-time to support my career as a Fortnite streamer.”  But he also has a son, 4 years old.  He recently bought a new car after winning $30,000 from a Fortnite competition that lasted 6 weeks.  His old car, “wasn’t even safe to drive.”  So it’s good to have friends who help when they can.  But especially when it’s so needed.  But now I have to go and continue to process that people play video games professionally.  And it’s normal.
