Portland Water Pipes Will Make Electricity With Water Flow

WATER PIPES IN PORTLAND WILL GENERATE ELECTRICITY

Ok, this is way cool.  It falls into the category of, this is so obvious, why haven’t we been doing this for years?  The answer is maybe a little complicated, so later.  But Portland, Oregon, installed water pipes that do more than just deliver water to local homes and businesses.  These pipes produce electricity with the water flowing thru them.  That is amazing.  And obvious!  But this news is actually three years old.  That makes it even more cool.  But why has it gotten so little exposure?

OBVIOUS CHOICES FOR FREE ENERGY SLOWLY APPEAR, THIS TIME IN PORTLAND

The pipes are made by the company Lucid.  In Portland, one of the city’s main pipelines uses Lucid pipes.  These generate electric power and sends it directly into the local grid.  Sure, this isn’t enough power to run the city, by any means.  But just like every home with a solar panel, it cuts down on the bill, especially over time.  But with these pipes, the weather doesn’t matter at all.  Cold?  It works.  Hot?  Yup.  Rain, Snow, Hurricane, Hail?  Forgettaboutit.  There is no downside to using these pipes.  But they do need a down “side” to work.  Namely, where water in the pipe flows downhill using only gravity.  These are also smart pipes, that monitor flow for utilities.  It all seems so obvious, right?

THE FUTURE SHOULD BE FULL OF FREE ELECTRICITY

But this is incredibly cool, if obvious, stuff.  Think about every major waterline in the United States.  Then calculate how much power these Lucid pipes would generate across the board (and grid).  These little opportunities add up to something incredibly huge.  So why don’t we even talk about these obvious choices?  Well, power, for one.  But political, economically strategic power.  Once we open the door to the obvious, there will be a cascade effect.  That means less demand for coal and gas fired power plants

Let’s start demanding more of the obvious solutions.
