Polish Mayor Stabbed in Heart on Stage at Charity Event

HORROR AS MAN STABS POLISH MAYOR TO DEATH ON STAGE AT CHARITY EVENT

This is crazy!  A formerly convicted criminal has stabbed a Polish mayor, on stage in public at a charity event.  And it wasn’t just any charity event.  It was Poland’s most important charity, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.  Their event where the appalling murder happened was the “Lights to Heaven” fundraiser.  The murdered mayor of Gdansk was Pawel Adamowicz.  The murderer rushed onto the stage and stabbed the mayor in the heart and the stomach.  He mayor grabbed his belly and fell to the ground as the large audience could only look on in horror.  I can’t imagine what the scene must have been like.  Everyone there was present in support of a Christmas charity fundraiser!  Including the now deceased mayor.

MURDERER SHOUTED IT WAS REVENGE FOR POLITICS, BUT REALLY?

The man shouted out that it was revenge, even as the mayor fell to the floor. Doctors present immediately treated the fallen mayor before they moved him to the Medical University of Gdansk.  There doctors operated for five long hours.  But Poland’s health minister recently announced that Adamowicz had passed away, saying, “We couldn’t win.”  So what is this really about?  Did the mayor do something to this man?  No, not directly.  The murderer is a 27-year-old man who has a criminal record that includes a series of bank robberies.

A LOT DOESN’T ADD UP AS PROGRESSIVE MAYOR NOW DEAD

So what did the man shout out after he stabbed the mayor?  That he had been wrongly put in prison by the previous national government, which had been led by the Civic Platform.  The mayor of Gdansk had once been a member of that party, but no longer.  So something seems more than a bit off.  According to police spokesman Mariusz Ciarka, the murderer seemed to have mental health problems.  Somehow, he obtained access to the event with a media badge.  If it sounds fishy, that’s because it is.  Adamowicz was 53 years old and had been mayor of the city of Gdansk since 1998.  But he was a noted progressive in a very socially conservative, Catholic Poland.
