HE HID IN HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND’S ATTIC FOR MONTHS, WHEN SHE FOUND HIM, HE ATTACKED
So this is pretty beyond the pale of a normal situation. His name is Cary Cocuzzi. The 31-year-old had been living in his ex-girlfriend’s attic for months. She had some intuition something was wrong. But she brushed it off, thinking it was nothing. But then she found him standing in the middle of her bedroom. He grabbed her by the face! But she managed to get away and ran from her house, screaming. Several of the Pittsburgh woman’s neighbors heard and called 911. When police arrived, they found the upstairs squatter trying to hide under clothes and furniture. So he thought he might be able to keep hiding there!

HE TOLD PITTSBURGH POLICE HE WAS HOMELESS, HAD ONLY BEEN THERE FOR TWO WEEKS
But police easily found him and arrested him. Cocuzzi faces charges of burglary and unlawful restraint. He told police he has been homeless and was hiding in her house for two weeks or so. But the reality seems to be more like months. The unnamed woman is a mother of two children. She had been noticing some weird things in her home. But she brushed it off as just weird. She found a blanket on the floor once. Another time someone left a toilet seat up. But to be fair, when you have kids, chaos is a normal part of home life. But this time, it was something else, entirely.

So as you can imagine, the woman feels totally traumatized. The two are no longer together because she had to get a protection from abuse, or PFA, order against him. She did have the thought that the strange things in her home were because of him. But why? Because she knew that he didn’t respect the PFA and could do anything. But the situation has left her totally shaken. She said that he had been in her home while her kids were there and they were all asleep. So what could have happened will continue to haunt her for some time.
