Netflix Claims Their Crazy Popular Marvel Shows Were Duds

NETFLIX TRIES TO JUSTIFY CANCELLING THEIR MOST POPULAR SHOWS

A week or so ago Netflix cancelled two really popular Marvel shows, Daredevil and Iron Fist.  Of course, that was after they cancelled Luke Cage, too.  But the first two had really started to do well with viewers.  Pretty much everyone liked them.  Jeez, I still have two episodes of Daredevil, season 3 to watch.  I have, pretty much since two days after they released the season.  So, I’m particularly pissed to know these are the last episodes, ever.  So why did they really do it?  No one thinks they were duds.  No one.   Their claims make no sense.

Disney, of course, is developing their own streaming platform.  Unfortunately for us Netflix Marvel fans, that means the end.  But Netflix is clearly feeling some backlash. Now, they’re trying to say that their Marvel shows weren’t actually doing that well.  But Netflix NEVER releases any ratings data about its shows.  So we can never know what is really true.  ButI expect Netflix is…. Hedging their relationship with honest reality.  Anyway. Netflix did release their 2018 list, “All The Shows and Movies We’ve Loved Before.”

Dubious ratings data aside, this included a category for shows with the “highest average watch time per viewing session.”  But for some reason, that didn’t include any info on the most recently released seasons of its Marvel shows.  Gee, I wonder why?  Netflix also said these rankings have nothing to do with any of the shows’ popularity. So…. The list essentially means nothing at all.  But if anything is true, it’s two things.  One, Marvel at Netflix is finito.  Two, that just sucks.
