Netflix Cancels Punisher and Jessica Jones Too Bastards

NETFLIX, DISNEY BASTARDS CANCEL PUNISHER AND JESSICA JONES AS WELL

So I’m not gonna shy away from how I feel about this one.  This fucking sucks.  I literally finished watching the most recent and now final season of the Punisher on Netflix.  It was good.  No, it was really good.  So no, it wasn’t too open-ended.  But it was good to go for at least two more seasons.  But the bastards at Netflix also cancelled Jessica Jones.  Who cancels success?  Netflix does.  Or, at least, Disney does.  Cause Marvel and all that.  But it fucking sucks.

SO I’M NOT CANCELLING NETFLIX YET, BUT……

No, I’m not gonna cancel my Netflix subscription right now.  But a lot of what I loved is now…. canceled.  Sure, who knows what the future may bring.  And I’m sure Netflix knows this fucking sucks for them, too.  But to make matters somewhat awkward, Jessica Jones still has its third and also now final season to air on Netflix.  So the last Marvel show to appear on Netflix hasn’t even arrived.  But it’s already dead.  I’ll be sure to watch it.  And while the show won’t suck, the end certainly will.  So did we know this was coming?  Sure we did.  But we didn’t want to believe.

INCREDIBLE SUCCESS MEETS SUDDEN END(S), JUST BECAUSE THAT’S THE WAY IT IS

We already said goodbye to Luke Cage, the Iron Fist and Daredevil.  The Punisher just aired it’s second season to huge acclaim.  All the shows enjoyed success.  Some huge.  But because Disney owns the rights to the Marvel characters (and the huge Marvel movies) the Netflix storylines are just… gone.  But has there ever been such a success as these shows?  Not really, no.  We’re talking FIVE different shows.  But each one had a different vibe and feel.

IT’S JUST TOO BAD, BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MUCH MORE FUN TO BE HAD

THEN the people behind these shows took 4 of them (no Punisher) and made an entire season combining those 4 shows’ characters and vibes and made it work.  Actually, they made it work really well.  But this time, unprecedented success means an early end.  But unlike the great Faulty Towers, these shows aren’t over because they couldn’t stay at their own high bar.
