NASA Tweeted Bikini Pic That Was Out of This World

NASA ACCIDENTALLY TWEETED A PICTURE OF A WOMAN IN A LOVELY LITTLE BIKINI

So Twitter is all over the news, as always.  But this isn’t about a certain musky hostile takeover, or “free speech,” or a poison pill or the like.  Sure, that’s big news that everyone is wonky about.  I mean, the wonks are talking all about that.  But they aren’t talking about some lighthearted fare like NASA accidentally tweeted a bikini pic on their official feed.  Unfortunately, I can’t even show you the real pic!  The above is a convenient example.  The tweeted pic was of a model wearing a pink, 2-piece bikini.  Somehow, I haven’t ever thought about space exploration and skimpy swimwear before.

BIKINI PIC POST WAS ACTUALLY AN ARTICLE ABOUT A RETAIL GIANT, NOT ANYTHING HOT IN ORBIT

Till, now, of course.  I would have thought this was the kind of gaffe that would have happened when Trump was still prez, for a host of reasons.  Remember Space Force?  But this NASA bikini pic appeared with a Bloomberg piece about the retail behemoth, Shein.  But not only is the tweet gone, it is out of this world entirely.  The “Sci Space Guy” on Twitter even posted his own screen shot for, um, posterity.  But that’s gone, too!  We at least still have the caption that went with it.  It said: “Fast-fashion giant Shein is sinking its teeth into US consumers as it eyes a $100 billion valuation.”

BIKINI PIC IS NOW TOTALLY GONE FROM THIS WORLD, AS POST WAS LIKELY A SIMPLE ACCOUNT MISTAKE

So what happened?  Some thought briefly that NASA’s Twitter account was hacked.  But no.  NASA hasn’t said a word about the waxed post.  But the most likely explanation is that NASA’s social media manager has other accounts to work on and simply forgot to switch accounts and suddenly there’s a fem fatale whose bikini image was out of this world.  Well, and Shein retail commentary.  You might remember Heinz posted porn on its account back in 2015.  So far, NASA still hasn’t gotten to the sex in space business.  But there remains hope!
