Why is Murdoch's Ex-Wife Wendi Deng Accused of Being Chinese Spy

Murdoch lands in the hot water again. To be certain, Australia is a strange place. Settled by the British as a colony for criminals, it is the only country that spans an entire continent. Left to its own evolutionary devices sandwiched between the Pacific an Indian oceans, it has produced aberrations against God like the duckbill platypus and the bilby. Add to the mix that a waxing crescent moon currently hangs over the nation’s capital and that Australia finds herself in the final sprint of its abbreviated election season, and it may be easy to understand why things are coming unhinged in this land that time has forgotten and God has forsaken.

Things are even getting sticky in the world of Australia’s billionaires.

That’s in American dollars, not Australia’s native currency ‘Roo bucks.

An elite fraternity to be sure, there are only 18 Australian billionaires in known existence.

There are rumored to be more living in the northwestern portion of the country’s massive interior known as the “outback,” but scientists have yet to make contact.

Clive Palmer is one such member of the Australian super-rich currently warring with members of his pack. As his target, Palmer has set his sites on the silverback gorilla of the troop, Rupert Murdoch.

After Murdoch’s newspaper The Australian ran an editorial on its front page entitled “Why We Need to Worry About the Real Mr. Palmer,” alleging he was “a man with a history of peddling fantasies that often morph into a unique version of ‘reality.'”

In an interview with Australia’s Nine News, Palmer struck back in an epic fashion, claiming that he would be suing Murdoch for the comments made in the Australian’s unflattering editorial and also accusing Murdoch’s ex-wife of being a Chinese government spy, telling a reporter, “She’s been spying on Rupert for years, giving money back to Chinese intelligence. She was trained in southern China. I’m telling you the truth.” He added, “Wendi Deng is a Chinese spy and that’s why Rupert got rid of her.”

However, here at The Blot, Deng first won our collective hearts when she sprang like a mother panther thwarting the plans of a shaving-cream-pie-wielding madman bent on sullying the face of her octogenarian life mate in frothy white lather.

The Telegraph‘s James Kirkup witnessed the foiled perpetrator, noting Deng’s swift actions:

“Having sat through the evidence unsmiling, she moved faster than anyone else. First, she swung a slap at her husband’s attacker. She followed up by picking up the plate and trying to strike him with it.”

Rupert Murdoch filed for divorce from Wendi Deng, his wife of 14 years, earlier this summer.

Deng moved to the U.S. from China to study at Yale University in her early 20s. While staying with a host family, she was kicked out by the wife of the couple she was staying with after it was revealed that she had been having an affair with the woman’s husband. A man who was 30 years her senior.

Perhaps not a Chinese spy, but certainly a home wrecker with a penchant for older men.
