Miami Con Man Steals Millions as Fake Royal Saudi Sultan

FAKE ROYAL SULTAN SWINDLES MILLIONS FROM FOOLED INVESTORS

Get this!  A Miami con man fooled lots of investors and swindled them out of millions, posing as a sultan in the Saudi Royal family.  His name is Anthony Gignac, or the “Sultan Bin Khalid Al Saud.”  But this grifter had lots of other aliases as well.  But it’s the Sultan that’s in deep water now.  The 47-year-old Gignac admitted the he and nefarious confederates stole $8 million from 26 people across the globe.  All of this swindling was over the last two years.  The scheme took some major stones to run, but Gignac’s time and luck ran out.  The fake royal schemer had his time run out.

Gignac admitted his guilt last week in a Miami federal court.  He could serve years in prison when sentenced this coming August.  He pled guilty to impersonating a foreign government official, identity theft as well as fraud.  This fake royal Sultan convinced his victims to invest in fake business deals.  Oddly, that sounds a little like someone in the White House.  But Gignac and his associates loved the fancy lifestyle and lived high on the hog.  They bought fancy race cars, luxury cars, Rolex watches and Cartier jewelry.  Gignac also grabbed a two-bed condo on the exclusive Fisher Island on Biscayne Bay.

Gignac had some nice lines he’d use.  According to the US Attorney’s Office, “He falsely told others that he had diplomatic immunity and was required to check in with the U.S. Department of State every few hours.  Gignac was given gifts, including expensive paintings and jewelry, based on his false representations.”  Gignac was born in Columbia but has lived in South Florida and other US locations since the early 90s.  But the feds busted him when he flew from London to New York last November using a passport with someone else’s name.  That arrest turned into search warrants for his fancy residence.  That’s where they found all the evidence of his confidence schemes and fraud.

CON ARTIST THOUGHT TOO SMALL, SHOULD HAVE RUN FR PUBLIC OFFICE

Like so many others we are hearing about in recent news, Gignac and his crew created a fake investment company, Marden Williams International, as a front.  But unlike others so far, Gignac is going to jail, soon.
