Megachurch Televangelist Needs His Biblical Private Jet

THIS TELEVANGELIST REALLY NEEDS HIS BIBLICAL PRIVATE JET FOR GOD’S WORK

So much for heaven can wait.  If you’re a loaded, rich in terms of money Christian leader, you want your heaven on this side of the pearly gates.  We’ve all heard stories about people going to a megachurch and leaving all their money there.  But why?  Because their televangelist told them God needed the money, essentially.  But this creates some awkward moments when the regular public asks some direct questions.  That was certainly true with televangelist Kenneth Copeland.  He’s the Prosperity gospel preacher.  But he needs his luxury, private jet to do God’s work.  Or something.  But he literally said that his jet is biblical!

ALMOST A BILLIONAIRE, THIS TELEVANGELIST BELIEVES IN FLEECING THE FLOCK

You can’t make this stuff up.  But you may have already heard of this televangelist Kenneth Copeland.  His megachurch was at the center of a measles outbreak.  Or is that his daughter’s megachurch?  It’s hard to keep track with all this biblical nepotism.  But regardless, the Copeland claims to need his private jet to do all of his “good work.”  Well, he should be.  He’s almost a billionaire, these days.  Really.  That’s some rarified air for doing God’s work, don’t you think?  When a reporter this past week caught the televangelist with a few questions about his jet he was seemingly infallible with his instant answers.

SAYS THAT HIS RIGHT TO WEALTH IS OLD TESTAMENT, BECAUSE THE JEWS BELIEVE IN WEALTH

When asked why he doesn’t fly commercial, he said “If I flew commercial, I’d have to stop 65 percent of what I’m doing, that’s the main reason.”  65%?  Really?  So if you had to fly commercial, you’d only be able to fleece 35% of the flock?  I mean, you’d only be able to do God’s work 35% of the time?  If that seems to be a suspicious claim, that’s because it is.  But hypocrites love them some cognitive dissonance, all the way to the bank.  But there’s more!  When the said many people say that preachers shouldn’t live so luxuriously, he replied, They’re wrong.  It’s a misunderstanding of the Bible that … if you go into the old covenant, do you think the Jewish people believe you should be broke?”

So there you have it.  He’s an anti-Semite, too!  When pressed about his comment on Jews, he said, “They believe in wealth.”  Sigh.
