JUST HOW DOES A KISS REDUCE STRESS?

So how can a kiss reduce a person’s stress?  Kissing is about being vulnerable and present.  But it’s also exciting, yet in a way that makes you more relaxed.  It’s hard to have a real kiss and not have the monkey on your back feel just a bit lighter.  But kissing also helps you reduce the hormone cortisol that’s running around your system, announcing stress and making it worse.  When you have too much of this stress hormone, you even get sick.  Like, ill, stay at home and why do I feel so awful?  Because cortisol diminishes your immune system and makes you weak, even to the common cold.

OTHER BENEFITS OF KISSING

Kissing also increases your happiness. This is because when you’re kissing, endorphins are triggered.  Endorphins make you feel good.  They make you feel happy.  They are a huge part of falling in love.  But when you kiss, that happy feeling is really important in making you healthier, less stressed.  The happier you are, the longer you live.  So kiss today, kiss tomorrow.  Just be sure to kiss every day.
