THE JIMMY KIMMEL TRUMP WIDOW JOKE HAS OPENED UP THE IDIOT’S PANDORA’S BOX AGAIN
Well, just reading the news is exhausting these days. And with Trump dominating the news, it’s literally fact check whack a mole to a degree that Kali would fail in disgust. But exhausting disgust seems to be the main point, aside from distract, distract, distract and on to the next stupidity. And while I’m trying to brain a few Trump moles just from today, I’m a little hung up on how the Jimmy Kimmel widow joke has opened up the idiot’s Pandora’s Box, yet again. And what’s in the box, yet again? Free speech, baseless accusations, a totally unconnected assassination attempt, and calls for Jimmy Kimmel to be immediately fired. Again.

Kimmel’s widow joke directed at Melania was a reference to the big age difference between her and her convicted rapist POTUS husband. It wasn’t a call to violence, or breaking federal law by threatening a sitting president. Was it bad taste? I’m not sure how to apply that metric when it comes to the topic of Trump. But two days after Kimmel’s indelicate joke, an armed man tried to get into the WHite House Correspondents’ Dinner. The Trump Admin almost immediately branded the widow joke as a call to violence, and Melania, bless her gold digging, opportunistic heart, called Jimmy Kimmel a coward.

And yes, Trump called on ABC to immediately fire Kimmel, again, this time for inciting violence. I almost miss the good old days, or really long, arduous years, where the Right decried the Left for Cancel Culture and…. silencing people they didn’t agree with. You know, like racists, gender identity bigots, but definitely not Zionists. Remember? The Right was all about protecting Free Speech, so long as it was theirs, odious, and normalizing what should be culturally anathema. This, coming from President Trump, who deported American residents for criticizing events in Palestine, sued the NYT for $15 billion, kicked the Associated Press from White House Press events, attacked law firms who had clients he didn’t like, and attacked universities.
And Kimmel’s newest boss, the new CEO at Disney, has only been on the job for 6 weeks. Let’s just hope that the idiot’s Pandora’s Box being open doesn’t get radioactive.
