Really, Apple? Do you have to suck so much? Well, evidently you do. But seriously Apple, it’s like you just can’t help yourself. Didn’t you learn anything when people called you out for slowing down their older iPhones in the name of “battery conservation?” I won’t even go into all the other crap you’ve screwed up with your greed the last 20 years. But now you’re going to fuck with your loyal customers if they replace their phones’ batteries themselves? And hey, I’m speaking from experience. I had to replace my old iPhone’s battery when you said I had to wait 3 FUCKING MONTHS FOR YOU TO DO IT FOR FREE. Who screws their customers all the time? (Well, besides cable and internet providers, of course) The answer is APPLE COMPUTER. Apple is fleecing iPhone owners yet again.

So I get it, I really do. I was conscious when Windows owned pretty much the entire market in the West. I remember complaining bitterly about Microsoft and their monopolistic ways. But who knew those were the good old days? Not me, that’s for sure. So I do get it. Apple’s marketing strategists have gone down the same rabbit hole as those at every other company. And that’s the rabbit hole where you chase profit and leave your (formerly happy) customers behind. So what did Apple do? They totally rewrote iPhones’ firmware to screw you if you change the battery yourself. And by you, I mean all iPhone owners out there.

So what happens if you change your iPhone battery tomorrow? Well, if you have recent firmware, you’ll get a service message you can’t get rid of. It says, “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available for this battery.”” So yes, ok, this means if you buy a battery directly from Apple it will be fine. But you’ll pay more and you’ll have to pay Apple to replace it for you. But that second sentence just kills me. See? Apple is trying to say they’re protecting your health. But all they’re really doing is removing the competition and screwing their customers. Even more? Your iPhone won’t give you any diagnostic info on your “other” battery. So who screws their customers? Apple.
Fuck you, Apple. Again.
