BOY, IMPALED WITH TREE BRANCH, WALKS KID SISTER HOME BEFORE HE COLLAPSES
This is some scary, scary stuff. It happened recently in Pati, India. They boy’s name is Suresh Sakaram. But this, it seems, is the name of a hero. I know some kids are incredibly strong and durable. But Suresh takes it to another level. The 8-year-old Suresh and his 6-year-old sister were out picking plums. That’s a good thing. But then what would normally have been a fatal disaster happened. Suresh was trying to reach a plum and his footing was bad. He slipped and fell, directly onto a tree branch which impaled him. But somehow, Suresh walked his sister safely home before he collapsed.

But that is really what happened! This kid is a hero, just for his resolve in an impossible situation. But this tree branch impaled the boy. It was over 20 inches long. It’s just kind of crazy. As the picture shows, it entered his chest and went all the way thru him, coming out of his back. But the branch literally missed Suresh’s heart by just millimeters. So it is some kind of miracle it didn’t kill him, instantly. But then Suresh got up and walked his sister all the way home, with this branch thru his body and right next to his heart! So Amazing.

So Suresh walked his sister home and pretty much immediately collapsed, the poor kid. But then, obviously, his family rushed him to the hospital in the nearby Indore. Doctors there performed surgery and the news is that Suresh is “out of danger.” But it was serious and challenging surgery. The pediatric surgeon was Dr. Sashi Shankar Sharma, who said, “Surgery of this child was challenging because the sharp wood stick was penetrating near vital organs, heart lungs and liver. Only part of right lung and rib cage were harmed and were successfully repaired.”
The doctors also say that Suresh is “doing well.” What an incredible kid.
