Holding a Sneeze Can Rupture Throat, Kill

DON’T HOLD A SNEEZE, IT CAN DO DAMAGE

Some people get weird about coughing, burping and sneezing out loud. So, they hold it in.  Holding in a fart is one thing (if not the healthiest thing).  But holding a sneeze is much worse.  It can actually kill you.  So, next time you see a stranger about to hold in a sneeze to be polite, swiftly tell them not to do it.  Because you may be the last person they see before they die. A man recently held in a sneeze and consequently ruptured the back of his throat.  Seriously, you can rupture your throat.  In extreme cases, holding a sneeze can even kill.

YOU CAN LITERALLY RUPTURE YOUR THROAT

A thirty-four-year-old man was in Emergency, barely able to speak or swallow, after pinching his nose and compressing his mouth shut in order to stop a sneeze. He ruptured his throat. The doctors heard strange popping sounds spreading from his neck all the way down his ribcage.   They promptly sent him for a scan.  To their dismay they discovered that the air from his lungs was bubbling into his deep tissue and chest and was not able to escape. Holding his sneeze became very dangerous and almost tragic.

SNEEZES ARE POWERFUL, HOLDING ONE IN CAN DO MAJOR DAMAGE

Trying to hold on to a forceful sneeze is very dangerous and not at all recommended.  Doing so increases your chances of many complications and even an aneurism.  Sneezes can travel as fast as 200 miles per hour and with the discharging power of 25 feet.  A sneeze is very powerful.  Therefore, you can imagine the cases where it ruptured body parts. Some people have been admitted to the hospital for burst eardrums, ruptured blood vessels in the eyes, facial nerve damage and most commonly, pulled muscles. It’s just not worth it for someone to be holding in a sneeze.  Cover your mouth and let it out.
