Samsung Kills Headphone Jack After Trolling Apple

AFTER TROLLING APPLE WITH ADS FOR KILLING THE IPHONE, SAMSUNG FOLLOWS SUIT

So do you remember when Samsung had that funny ass ad campaign, when they were trolling Apple?  Sure you do.  It was just after Apple announced they were getting rid of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 back in 2016.  Apple’s move pissed off a lot of customers.  Evidently, some folks like to charge their phones and use their headphones at the same time.  I was one of them.  But while I still use an iPhone (without a headphone jack), I do remember thinking Samsung scored some big points with their ads.

SAMSUNG TAUNTED APPLE FANS, MADE FUN OF ALL THEY COULD TO MAKE THEM SWITCH

So are you sure you don’t remember?  There was a whole Samsung campaign of these ads in the last few years.  These ads hit Apple high and low.  They made fun of the Genius Bar, screen size, iPhone battery throttling.  They even went after the new iPhone screen notch.  And last, but not least, Samsung poked Apple and their fans about the absent headphone jack.  So why is this a story today?  Well, Samsung swallowed their pride and fallowed Apple down the rabbit hole; the one where there’s no headphone jack.

LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER, SAMSUNG SCRAMBLES TO ERASE THEIR OWN AD CAMPAIGN

So what now?  Well, less than two orbits of the Earth around the sun, Samsung is trying to erase their own history.  Now that new Samsung phones won’t have any more headphone jacks, the company is trying their damnedest to remove all of their old commercials from the web.  After taunting Apple customers into switching to Samsung, anyone who was foolish enough to do so is sure to be disappointed.  So why?  Because the new Galaxy Note 10 will definitely not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, just like all contemporary iPhones.

So Samsung’s “Growing Up” commercials that roasted Apple have disappeared from the Samsung Mobile USA YouTube channel as well as the primary Samsung YouTube channel.  But if you want to enjoy the irony and hypocrisy, you can still find them over on the Wayback Machine.
