More Guns in Churches Would Save Lives, Do you Agree

NRA-OWNED PAWN TEXAS AG MARKETS GUNS TO SAVE US FROM GUNS

In a continuation of the utter insane rhetoric from a Republican official who lives and dies from the special interest money from the NRA, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s reaction to the deadliest mass shooting in state history is that lives would be saved if more people brought guns to church.  According to Paxton, “There’s always the opportunity that the gunman will be taken out before he has the opportunity to kill very many people.”

SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY, GUN LOBBY MAKES MONEY KILLING AMERICANS

In what can only be torture to surviving family members of every victim of now-routine gun massacres, the Texas AG has literally urged more people to carry guns to church in his official response to a gunman committing mass shooting that killed 26 and injured 20 more.  The 26-year-old shooter, David Patrick Kelley, showed many warning signs that he both needed help and that he needed to be prevented from can only be described as the casual purchase of the murder weapon.

PAXTON SAYS CONCEAL-CARRY NOT USED BY ENOUGH TEXANS TO STOP GUNMAN

Paxton suggested that the Texas conceal-carry law is actually an asset to prevent mass shootings and gunman, if only more Texans would choose to carry their concealed guns everywhere, such as church.  Preaching to the commercial choir, Paxton appeared on Fox News after the shooting and anchor Eric Shawn asked the following, “As a country, what do we do? How can we get our arms around this and stop this insanity?”

TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL: IF CRAZY PEOPLE HAVE GUNS, WE ALL NEED TO CARRY TO PREVENT MASS SHOOTING

“The only thing I know, because you can’t necessarily keep guns out of the hands of people who are going to violate the law,” was Mr. Paxton’s reply. “All I can say is that in Texas at least we have the opportunity to have concealed carry. And so if it’s a place where somebody has the ability to carry, there’s always the opportunity that the gunman will be taken out before he has the opportunity to kill very many people.”

The Fox host then amazingly pressed Mr. Paxton on this point, noting that carrying a concealed gun while “praying to the Lord” seemed to be “diametrically opposite concepts,” yet Mr. Paxton was undeterred from his NRA-financed logic.

The Texas Attorney General continued, “We need in churches … at least arming some of the parishioners or the congregation so that they can respond if something like this, when something like this happens again.”

So get ready for nothing but more of the same, when the response to too many guns killing too many people is that we simply need more guns.  Maybe we should call it Trickle Down Bullets?
