OREGON REPUBLICANS RUN FROM STATE, ALLY WITH DOMESTIC TERRORISTS
So what the hell is going on in Oregon these days? Well, a lot. And when it comes to the Oregon GOP, it’s actually a lot of pretty scary stuff. So what’s happening? Well, there’s a Democratic majority in the Oregon legislature as well as a Democratic governor, Kate Brown. So that means that Oregon voters who chose to have these majorities wanted a few things done. And in this instance, the topic is legislation that would address climate change. You know, like a carbon cap kind of thing. Bu the local Oregon Republicans really, really, really doesn’t want that bill to become law. So they’ve taken the ugly, Trumpian MAGA identity a giant step into dangerous chaos. And this is sure to get worse.

TAKING MAGA IDENTITY ONE GIANT STEP BACKWARD FOR ENTIRE NATION
So what happened, exactly? Well, every Republican Oregon state senator up and fled Oregon. Why? To deny a quorum. In other words, if the Republicans flee the state and hide, the Democratic majority can’t vote to approve the bill for the governor to sign into law. And yes, this has happened before in Texas and Wisconsin. But those were Democrats fleeing their respective states to prevent Republican bills to drastically limit abortion in Wisconsin (and yes, look what’s happening now) and to prevent partisan gerrymandering in the state of Texas. So what’s the big deal with Republicans doing this in Oregon? Because what came next isn’t normal.

OREGON REPUBLICAN BRIAN BOQUIST TAUNTS VIOLENCE AGAINST STATE POLICE
Well, the fact that Oregon Republicans have aligned themselves with a militia group. But militia group isn’t really the right description for this group. They’re really a racist, domestic terror group. And that’s now crystal clear. When Oregon Republican Senator Brian Boquist learned that the Governor was sending the state police to find and bring the Republicans back to work, he told a local television station, “Send bachelors and come heavily armed. I’m not going to be a political prisoner in the state of Oregon. It’s just that simple.” Get it? The local militia groups certainly did. This is scary.
MILITIA THREATENS, STATE POLICE CLOSES OREGON SESSION FOR FEAR OF VIOLENCE
A member of Oregon’s 3 Percenters militia group immediately posted on Facebook, “We have vowed to provide security, transportation and refuge for those Senators in need. We will stand together with unwavering resolve, doing whatever it takes to keep these Senators safe.” But then it got worse. Two Saturdays ago, Oregon cancelled its legislative agenda. Why? Because of a credible threat from the militia -the terrorist- group. So now we have a local political group directly aligned with domestic terrorists. MAGA, indeed. This is a giant step in the wrong direction.
