GENERATION Z WILL LIVE TO SEE HALF THE WORLD’S yBEACHES DISAPPEAR BY 2050
So here’s the deal. Climate change is here and it’s here to stay. But while we obviously don’t know all that this means, we learn more every single day. And the latest news just cements how adults these days have totally screwed Generation Z. How this time? The latest study from Nature Climate Change has some appalling, sad news. Half of the world’s beaches could be gone by 2050. Really. So I’m sorry, Generation Z, but all of us older folks have totally screwed you out of something we increasingly take for granted. Well, until soon, anyway.

MORE THAN BEACHES, GENERATION Z WILL LOSE SO MUCH MORE
So here’s an easy way to measure this yourself, Generation Z’ers. If you go to any beach, pretty much anywhere, just have a look. Whatever distance you have to walk on the sand to get to the water? Just go ahead and cut that in half. Because there’s a good chance that will be real in 30 years. So sure, 30 years is a long time form now. But trust me Generation Z, it’s going to go fast. Because this won’t just happen overnight. If you are likely to still be alive over the next 20-30 years, it won’t just be the beaches that totally change. How?

40% OH HUMANITY LIVES WITHIN 60 MILES OF SHORE, MOST WILL HAVE TO MOVE
Well, this is where Generation Z’ers (and everyone else) need to be even more informed. Why? Because just in the United Stated alone, rising seas could displace as many as 13 million people by the end of the Century. Personally, I think that number is insanely low. But folks in Generation Z face a global crisis. One tenth of humanity lives just 30 feet above sea level. Want more data? 4 tenths of humanity live within 60 miles of the world’s coastlines. So yeah, that’s a hell of a lot of people. But no matter how you measure this, everything is changing. How much it changes depends on Generation Z. Recycle. Lobby. And vote. Please?
