BURGLAR BREAKS IN TO GAMESTOP WEARING CLEAR PLASTIC WRAP DISGUISE
Burglars and robbers need to do just a few things right. One, get away with the goods. Two, get away with your identity safely hidden. Three, don’t hurt anyone, for a host of reasons. That’s pretty basic. But a man in St. Mary’s, Georgia, bungled number two in appalling fashion. Police haven’t caught him yet. But they are laughing. The robber targeted a local GameStop. But security footage clearly shows the robber after he broke in. He was running around. But was he wearing a mask? No. His disguise, if you can even say that, was some kind of clear plastic. It looked like packaging from a case of water. No, it’s not a joke. The robber’s face is pretty clear, thru the clear plastic. Clear? Laughing yet?
BURGLAR’S FACE TOTALLY VISIBLE AS IDIOT RUNS AROUND ON CAMERA
So this robber’s face is clearly visible on the footage. But it’s not even the first time this soon-to-be identified idiot has done this. He wrapped the same clear plastic water wrap when he broke into another GameStop in the area. Police don’t yet know what the man did in the store. It’s also not clear what, or if, he took anything. But he did break in. Police say that alone means he committed burglary. Georgia law is pretty clear on the subject. If you enter or stay in a building with no permission to do so to steal or commit a felony, Georgia says that’s burglary.
POLICE ASK FOR HELP IDENTIFYING SUSPECT AFTER EVERYONE STOPS LAUGHING
But police, for once, do consider this to be a laughing matter. It’s pretty unusual. They posted on Facebook, “You can help us catch him, once you stop laughing.” They referred to the robber as the “craftily disguised gent.” I’m laughing myself now. But that’s not all they had to say. “We’ll be sippin’ water while we wait!” they said.
