QUEEN FRONTMAN FREDDIE MERCURY HAD A DAUGHTER, AND SHE WANTED THE SECRET TO COME OUT
I’ve been a fan of Freddie Mercury since the first time I first saw any performance he gave. I was still pretty young, as this was on early MTV back in the early 1980’s. At first, I was pretty distracted by his crazy teeth and how much they accentuated how he shaped his vocals. But man, what a performer and what a unique set of pipes and moxie energy. I slowly learned more about him as the years went by, and assumed we knew what there was to know about him. But apparently, we were missing the biggest part of his private life. And no, I’m not talking about his gay nightlife. I’m talking about how the Queen frontman was actually a daddy, because his daughter just came out.

ONLY A FEW PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT FREDDIE’S DAUGHTER, AND WE ONLY KNOW NOW 48 YEARS LATER
It’s rather surprising if not even revelatory news. It seems that only the members of his closest circle knew about his daughter, including his parents, sister, and well-known love of his life Mary Austin. This news is a big part of the marketing of a new biography about the late Mercury, Love, Freddie, written by the very respected rock biographer Lesley-Ann Jones. Apparently, Freddie Mercury had a fling with the wife of a close friend back in 1976, making his daughter 48 years old now. And the reason we’re only finding out about this now is that his daughter, who we only know as “B,” decided it was time to end the long held secret.

FREDDIE MERCURY GAVE HIS DAUGHTER “B” 17 VOLUMES OF HIS JOURNALS BEFORE HIS DEATH
Freddie remained friends with both the mother of his child and her husband, and even had a room of his own at their home. “B” made it clear he was a loving father from when she was born right up until his death from AIDS pneumonia complications 15 years later. Before his death, he gave his daughter 17 volumes from his personal journals. “B” recently gave those to biographer Lesley-Ann Jones, and are the primary source material for the new book. I’m frankly eager to read it, as it will likely totally change the narrative we’ve been limited to in understanding more about the now even more legendary rock icon, Freddie Mercury.
