FOUR TOPS SINGER HAS HEART ATTACK, GOES TO ER, GETS A STRAIGHTJACKET FOR 90 MINUTES
It’s hard to know who’s who these days. Some people make all sorts of claims, with more than a few politicians padding their stats as veterans and the like as an easy example. But some claims are really hard to believe just because they’re so random. But random doesn’t mean it’s not true. And if I worked in a hospital and a man came in because he had a heart attack, I’d maybe wonder for a moment if they told me they were a singer in the famous Four Tops band. But who knows? Maybe they are. But I’d treat the medical issue that was obvious, and not make assumptions. I certainly wouldn’t assume they were nuts and put them in a straightjacket. Maybe that’s just me?

STAFF IMMEDIATELY TOOK AWAY HIS OXYGEN, ORDERED A PSYCH EVALUATION AND STRAIGHTJACKET
Because in April 2023, an older African-American man came to the emergency room with chest pains, seeking help and treatment. This was at the Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan. He explained he might need more privacy than normal, or even some protection. Why? Because he was a singer with the Four Tops. Evidently, this was immediate grounds for an ER attendant to have the man’s oxygen removed and instead admitted for a psychological evaluation. That’s insanely bad, but it gets worse. When the man protested, a security guard told him to “sit your black ass down.” And then came the straightjacket.

ELDERLY FOUR TOPS SINGER DID HAVE A HEART ATTACK, AND 3 SEIZURES AFTER ORDEAL
This sounds like an unbelievable nightmare. The older black man who had chest pains and was put into a straightjacket is Alexander Morris. He’s not a founding member of the Four Tops, but he is a singer in the band. But it took 90 minutes to get him out of restraints, and only after his wife arrived and showed a video of him performing at the Grammy Awards as a member of the Four Tops. Morris was diagnosed with a heart attack and had 3 seizures while he was hospitalized. Gee, stress can cause seizures, right? I’d think being in a straightjacket for 90 minutes after a heart attack would be a little bit stressful.
The hospital offered him a $25 gift card to a supermarket chain. Morris is now suing the hospital and presumptive staff in federal court. I like his chances of winning.
