NJ Fire Chief Takes Revenge On Neighbor’s Rare Nissan Nismo 270R

NJ FIRE CHIEF DUMPS A BUCKET OF ROCKS ON NEIGHBOR’S RARE NISSAN NISMO 270R SPORTS CAR

Neighbors can be a trial sometimes.  And occasionally, this can escalate into pretty bad behavior.  I’ve heard of trees cut down, garbage strewn everywhere, pets being poisoned- the list goes on and on.  But I’ve never heard of a public official, say, a fire chief, being the one to engage in bad behavior.  Maybe that’s only because one hasn’t been caught before?  Because the fire chief Joshua Scolnick of the Piscataway, NY firehouse totally got caught.  And on surveillance camera, to boot.  He took revenge at a neighbor next to his firehouse by damaging the neighbor’s rare, Nissan Nismo 270R sports car.

FIRE CHIEF WANTED REVENGE  FOR NEIGHBOR’S SUMP PUMP LEAKING WATER ON FIRE HOUSE

So what was he angry about?  Allegedly, the neighbor and rare sports car owner’s sump pump leaked rainwater onto the firehouse.  Full stop.  That’s it.  There’s no word if this was a chronic issue with any unrequited dialogue or not, though it seems doubtful from reports so far.  But regardless, the sump pump leaked rainwater onto the firehouse and the fire chief was so angry about it he decided to dump a bucket of rocks and gravel onto the (very) rare Nissan Nismo 270R sports car.  The glass house attack caused $10,000 in damages to one of the doors and the windshield.

SURVEILLANCE CAMERA CAUGHT FIRE CHIEF TAKING HIS REVENGE ON NISSAN NISMO

It’s not clear if the angry stone throwing fire chief was too upset or simply didn’t realize there was a nearby surveillance camera that totally and clearly recorded his revenge antics.  But that’s how angry people who act out get busted for their bad actions.  The Nissan Nismo 270R was one of only 30 of the model made back in 1995.  It’s owner, Mark Bahna, says it is so rare it may be only one of only 2 in all of the United States.  His car was number 5 off the production line that year.  As for fire chief Joshua Scolnick, he now faces the charge of 3rd degree criminal mischief.  So far, Piscataway Fire District No. 3 hasn’t made any comments to media inquiries.
