Fake Image of Hero Trump Saving Wet Pussycat From Storm

TRUMP PIC DOCTORED TO SHOW HIM GRABBING PUSSY, BUT IN HEROIC WAY

There have been some, ahem, controversies surrounding President Trump since forever, but especially since he’s dominated media cycles when his Presidential campaign went high octane last Fall.  One golden episode we’ll retrieve for you here was the “grab them by the pussy” comment which one would assume a Trump supporter would not want to rinse, repeat in any way at all.  But you’d be wrong.  One of the odder things to pop up on Twitter last week was a fake picture of Trump, with the President’s face superimposed over someone else literally saving some wet pussy from Hurricane Harvey.

TRUMP SUPPORTERS BELIEVE PICTURE REAL, REALITY IS FAKE NEWS

So if you happened to come across this picture of Trump appearing to carry two kitties in his arms while trudging through waist high floodwater, be aware that is not the President.  Though it is worth noting that we can’t see the size of the man’s hands in the image.  But for whatever reason, one trump supporter crafted this felineous image and sent it out into the nether where it was picked up and circulated by true believers.  Perhaps we should call them fake believers?

HEROIC PUSSY GRABBING TOTALLY DEBUNKED

One pro-Trump Facebook page, called “All about President Trump,” posted the snap with the caption, “Things the media forgets!”  That post alone has now been shared more than 16,000 times.  But as the myth-debunking Snopes.com has proved, the image is totally fake.

Des Moines Register photographer Harry Baumert actually took the original photograph of a man named Brandon Smith who was saving his two cats from flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in June 2008, per the website.

Someone else has now simply edited Trump’s head and his red “Make America great again” cap into the snap. Baumert’s initial photograph no longer appears to be available online, but there are images of the same scene taken by others.
