Drunk Woman Arrested for Riding Horse, Given RUI Ticket

CRAZY DRUNK LADY BUSTED FOR RUI, RIDING WHILE INTOXICATED

Thank you, Florida! There’s no other state like Florida.  Recently police in Lakeland made a traffic stop and arrest that was likely a first in their experience.  Police found a woman who was behaving suspiciously on the road and promptly pulled her over, or aside, as the case may be.  You see, the woman wasn’t driving a car, she was riding a horse.  But she was so drunk it was hard to say if she was side-saddle or not.

WOMAN’S BLOOD ALCOHOL WAS DOUBLE LEGAL LIMIT, HORSE WAS SOBER

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s office, once they had her off the horse, the woman identified as Donna Byrne, 53, badly reeked of alcohol and was so drunk she could barely keep her red, watery eyes open while maintaining side-saddle.  Since it seemed obvious she was drunk riding a horse and a danger to all, she was put thru the normal roadside protocols.  Off the horse a breathalyzer showed Byrne to have a blood alcohol level almost twice the legal limit to drive.  As of now there’s no word about specific laws for drunk riding a horse.

WHITE TRASH HEROINE WAS A DANGER TO ALL ON THE ROAD

“Ms. Byrne was obviously not in any condition to be on the road,” Sheriff Grady Judd divulged in a statement of the arrest.   “She not only put herself and the horse in danger, but also anyone who was driving on the road, which is typically very busy.”

Besides being a danger to everyone around her, Byrne was also appropriately hit with an animal neglect charge.  The horse, who is named Boduke, was later taken to the Sheriff’s livestock facility, but is expected to be reunited with his owner, The Orlando Sentinel reports.

Of course, with an arrest like that it’s no surprise to learn that Byrne has a bit of a sheet of priors, so it’s clear this wasn’t her first Rodeo.  The five previous charges against her include cruelty to animals, possession of drugs and parole violation.  As of now there’s no word on horse rustling, but be patient, Florida endures.
