INTERNATIONAL DRUG MARKET CHANGES, AS DRUG CARTELS NOW PRODUCE SYNTHETIC DRUGS?
Narcotic drugs have been a major criminal business for decades. So much so, that the amount of money involved has saturated the entire world economy. If you don’t believe that, do a little simple research about how tax havens now have major crossover with money laundering, involving state entities (yes, even the United States) and the world’s most influential banks. Illegal drugs, for all that they are illegal, play a major role in everyone’s economy, politics and, supposedly, law. And the drug cartels are set to continue selling their illicit products well into the future. It’s a cash cow with endless pastures. So why are the major drug cartels now switching to the production of synthetic drugs?

NOW THAT BIG PHARMA CAN’T OVERSELL OPIOIDS, DRUG CARTELS READY TO STEP IN
The easiest answer is because there’s demand for them. But for the drug cartels to jump into producing them means that they are now more lucrative for them to sell. In other words, the demand is so high, it’s a seller’s market. So what are we talking about here, exactly? We’re talking about opioids. And, if you aren’t already aware of the pervasive problem, we’re talking about fentanyl. Yes, fentanyl. As in, the opioid crisis. As in, the opioid crisis that came about because of the totally legal production of opioids by the pharmaceutical industry. Well, and their massive marketing campaigns that hooked and killed tens of thousands of people.

But now that there is some “market correction” in terms of government oversight of the pharmaceutical industry, Big Pharma has had to “cash out” of the endless opioid pastures. Well, and there may have been some bad press, too. Wrongful death, etc, etc. But now that Big Pharma can’t sell billions of dollars of prescription opioids anymore, what’s a hooked pedestrian to do? You go where you can, even your local street corner. And that’s where the drug cartels are set to meet that demand. And they will be producing their illicit opioids in low-quality labs anywhere they can deliver to market.
What could go wrong? A lot. And, a government commission just said this is now a national security emergency.
