Disgruntled Ex Used a Drone to Drop Explosives on Ex-Girlfriend

PENNSYLVANIA MAN TRIED TO DROP EXPLOSIVE HANDMADE BOMBS ON HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND WITH A DRONE

Love can be bittersweet.  But when it is, it’s best to keep yourself together and not to do anything stupid, no matter how jilted you feel.  But for one Pennsylvania man, he didn’t get the memo.  His name is Jason Muzzicato and on June 7th, police arrested him.  But why?  Well, they searched his home and business and found 10 guns.  These included several semi-automatic pistols, AR-15 rifles.  And let’s not forget those pesky 7 handmade explosives.  Aaaaaand there’s the accusation that he used his drone to drop explosives on his ex-girlfriend’s property.  So as you might guess, that’s kind of a bid deal.

POLICE FOUND GUNS AND HOMEMADE EXPLOSIVES AT HIS HOME AND BUSINESS

First off, it was illegal for Muzzicato to have any guns at all.  But why?  Oh, you know.  The usual you might expect in this story line.  There was a domestic violence protective order filed against him two years ago.  So guns?  A big no no.  But it’s his alleged dropping of explosives on his ex’s home in Washington Township, Pennsylvania, that’s so noteworthy and disturbing.  Authorities have charged him with illegal possession of firearms and explosives.  Yet even bigger is his supposedly flying his DJI Phantom 3 drone.  So for one, he never registered it with the FAA.  But for another, he used it to carry and drop explosives.

HE CLAIMS INNOCENCE, BUT THE FBI IS CONNECTING SOME OBVIOUS DOTS

So yeah, that’s some scary ass shit right there.  But so far Muzzicato has not faced any charges for detonating explosives.  Muzzicato’s lawyer says his client denies dropping any bombs with drones.  But those charges may happen soon.  The FBI is looking over their suspect’s hardware to find out when and where his drone flew.  But since there were a number of mysterious explosions in Washington Township on June 7th, this should be a simple investigation.  And remember the above?  Police found explosive devices Muzzicato had built.

If guilty, Muzzicato faces 33 years in prison as well as a $760,000 fine.
