DOING THE WORK WITHOUT ALL THE INFORMATION
People always want to have their cake and eat it too. Well they can’t, because they don’t get everything they want. The end. I’m currently working for a group of women who want to have everything. They want me to do their bidding, get things done, be productive. But they don’t want to have to tell me anything they are doing. They don’t want to loop me in on anything they receive. They don’t want to include me in important discussions and email threads. Then they want me to hide in a corner and type away at my computer and get everything without them even looking and not complain and have that be the end of it. I’m supposed to do my work without any information? Bull.

GETTING USED AND NOT GETTING PAID
But I have news for them: they can go f*** themselves. I know when I’m being set up to fail, and I am definitely being set up to fail. I have never worked for a group of people who wanted me to do so much and receive so little. Work so hard for them, and not be included. Work for pennies, and be pushed out of the inner circle.

My whole job depends on knowledge. It depends on getting information first and being able to work out solutions before anyone else even knows there’s a problem. Well, I’m sad to say, that I can’t find solutions for problems I don’t know about. I may be savant about some things, but I can’t intuit there are problems when nobody flipping tells me about them. And even if I could be a savant, I would save my savant skills for people who would actually appreciate them. Instead of this lot who wouldn’t know how to say thank you if I bought them roses and told them all that they were geniuses (which they aren’t).
All in all, I hate this work, I hate this job. But it will soon be over. The best thing about my job is each project is temporary, so even if you end up working with crazies, it’s never for long.
