The most important thing, aside from nailing down the accent, songs and  movements, seems to be face structure.  And height.  Height is super important.  So, the scoop is, if you are too tall, as in over 5’7”, don’t bother.   They like their Disney Princess to be between 5’4”-5’7”.  But Tinkerbell, on the other hand, is preferred to be between 4’11”-5’1”.

FACE CHARACTERS VS FUR CHARACTERS

Princesses are known as ‘face characters.’  So those who are in full costumes, like Mickey Mouse, are ‘fur characters’.  Fur characters are challenging to play in the hot sun.  But the inside scoop on Disney Princesses is that guests are expected to have the exact same experience each time they visit.   So Disney trains their princesses how to apply their makeup in exactly the same way.  Every single time.

INTENSE TRAINING TO BE A PRINCESS

It’s important to study your Princess, so you understand them inside and out.  Because people who meet princesses, know their princesses.  They receive intense character training by veteran characters.  So, the next time you meet a Disney Princess, make sure to really appreciate their devotion to their role.
