Director Chad Stahelski Could Do John Wick Forever

JOHN WICK DIRECTOR COULD REALLY DO JOHN WICK FOREVER

I remember when John Wick came out, or really just before it came out.  Movie marketing is either great or totally sucks.  When movies don’t have many grapes on the vine, they give everything away in the trailer.  That certainly wasn’t true for John Wick.  Keanu Reeves, check.  Other stars, check.  Dope action teases, triple check.  And then I saw John Wick and it was awesome, obviously.  We’ve had round two as well and it was also great, if more of a cliff hanger teaser.  Round three, please?  Well, director Chad Stahelski wants to give us round three, four five-.  Well, you get the picture.  John Wick forever.

“IDEAS FOR DAYS” IS WHAT WICK FANS WANT TO HEAR

And that sounds pretty good to me!  Stahelski did an interview last week with Entertainment Weekly.  He had a lot to say that’s great for John Wick fans to hear.  He said, “I enjoy making these movies because there’s no limit.  We create our own mythology, and we have a studio that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions. If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days. I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career. But, you know, we’re in the entertainment business. We’ll let the audience figure that out.”

THE FUTURE IS RIPE FOR JOHN WICK AND THE FANS ARE EAGER TO SEE WHAT’S NEXT

Well, the audience has figured it out, mate.  We love this storyline and this character.  But the key line there was Stahelski and Keanu having ideas for days.  That’s a GREAT thing.  That means the two are all over collaboration and they are totally jazzed creatively.  So pretty much it could be a perfect storm of we say yes, and they get all creatively high.  Rinse, repeat.  But let’s not forget that just the general idea of the John Wick universe is getting more flesh on the bone.  There is a TV adaptation that’s on the way as well.  But no Keanu.  Maybe they can get Bruce Campbell to guest star?

Now that would be a perfect world.
