Did Hacker Group Anonymous Just Out Anti-Gay Tom Cotton?
The plot thickens in anti-gay Rep. Tom Cotton/NRA Grindr ad story: Both call ads fake, and Anonymous hackers allegedly have a photo of Cotton at a gay bar.

The Tom Cotton story keeps getting weirder and weirder. First, TheBlot Magazine breaks the story the anti-gay congressman and now Senate candidate was running ads (courtesy of the National Rifle Association) on Grindr, a gay hook-up app for smartphones. Ironic given that Tea Party-endorsed Cotton is steadfastly opposed to anything LGBT.
Both the Congressman and the NRA have denied that those are his or their ads and called the image fake, though we trust our source who took the screen shot not to have doctored the image.
The NRA has actually gone so far as to hire a firm to investigate. The firm hired apparently is run by Neal Krawetz, the man who authenticated President Obama’s birth certificate. I’ll let you know if my phone rings.
That was all yesterday.
Now step in the Internet group Anonymous, the loose collection of Internet hackers dedicated to finding truth and uncovering hypocrisy. Late last night, it appeared that Anonymous was using Twitter, Foursquare, and show tunes in an attempt to out the Congressman as gay. In a tweet, Anonymous shares a photo of Cotton (maybe?) at JRs Bar and Grill, a popular Washington, D.C., gay bar that features show tunes on big screen televisions on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons.

Is that Tom Cotton in that check-in photo? JR’s does have pretty good drink specials, and the siren call of the show tune is irresistible to many, but whether that tall, dark-haired figure is Cotton is debatable.
But questions remain: Why Tom Cotton? And why Anonymous? Why is the group dedicated to going after ISIS and uncovering the truth in the Michael Brown shooting getting involved in an Arkansas Senate race?
This very well may be the tip of the iceberg.

Closeted politicians are most often than not more virulently anti-gay initiating anti-gay laws & initiatives.

Just donated $100 to the Indiana LGBT Youth Group. May LGBT youth inherit a kinder, more open world free of jerks who say they are Christian and then act like jerks to people. I’m Christian, I’m gay………..I don’t think I’m better than anyone for any reason. Jesus said love thy neighbor and judge not lest you be judged but this doesn’t stop jerks from using religion as a means to degrade and put people down. My mother was always very Christian and she never said a bad word against anyone! These are phony Christians who just want to be jerks. They find passages in the Bible that they think will let them be asses to others. Why not find the passages in the Bible that show us how to love another more??????????????????????????? HUH???????????? the Old Testament is filled with passages in Leviticus that say don’t come into contact with a woman who is having her period………that she is unclean……..can you imagine saying this to any woman today?????? Why would he go to JR’s? As offered into question by the author, the drink specials are really good; however, JR’s is a rather prominent/mainstay gay bar in the old “gayborhood” of 17th St/Dupont. Not necessarily the space to go if you were trying to keep a low profile. There are plenty of other shared gay/straight bars with a far more diverse population of sexualities I would go to if I were on the low low.

As much as I dislike Tom Cotton, this looks like a bad Photoshop job for a lot of reasons. 1. the hue is off in respect to the images around it. 2. The perspective is off in regards to the position of the image of Cotton. 3. The size of the head is much larger in regard to persons in front of it. I’ll need more proof than a blurry photo. In today’s technological world, anyone can produce a bogus photograph. Let’s fight this thing but let’s fight fair.
I would love for this to be him, however with the quality of the photo I would have to say not him. It could even be a real bad photo shop job.
