SICILIAN DEATH AMBULANCE WAS SCENE OF MOB MURDERS
In a disturbing twist on murder for money, we bring you the Death Ambulance. How does the death ambulance work? Well first, it works in Sicily, the home of La Cosa Nostra. And yes, this was a mobster business arrangement. The ambulance stretcher bearer, Davide Garofalo, allegedly killed his patients during transport. He injected air into his victims’ veins, killing them. Then he sold their bodies to mob-run funeral parlors for 300 euros each.
AMBULANCE WORKER, MOBSTER, KILLED 50 PATIENTS?
Police say the 42-year-old father of three has killed three patients for sure. All three were terminally ill people. They had been going home to die in peace with their families around them. Instead, they died horribly from a murderous embolism. But more horrifyingly, police are now looking into 50 other suspicious deaths. They think they may be related to the Death Ambulance. Garofalo could be a serial killer for profit unlike any known before.
UP TO 50 VICTIMS POSSIBLE IN SMALL COMMUNITY AREA
All the deaths took place in the eastern Sicilian town of Biancavilla, which is near Catania. They also all occurred in a 4-year period, ending this past year. So far, police have not yet explained their theory. But they believe this was all an arrangement Garofalo had with Sicilian organized crime. The ambulance mobster provided corpses for money. But he had to make the living dead first. Local media have coined this story as the ‘Ambulanza della morte,’ or the Ambulance of Death.
SNITCH ON TV PROGRAM BROUGHT HORRORS TO LIGHT
The horrifying murders only came out after a television investigation. But that’s because of a 28-year-old snitch who turned coat. He told media, “People were not dying by the hand of God.” Three more people are now also being investigated by police as likely accomplices.
ALL MONSTERS WERE INNOCENT, ONCE
Garofalo used to be an orange picker on the slopes of Mount Etna. Then be became a stretcher bearer on an ambulance. But then he became a serial murderer. Garofalo’s story is a tragedy, for others. The price may have been more than 300 lives.
