LA LAKERS’ CINDERELLA PLAYER AUSTIN REAVES NOW LINKED TO, MAY BE DATING TAYLOR SWIFT?
I really don’t know what to make of the world, sometimes. I’m a pretty big basketball fan, despite how much my connective tissue laments my youth. So I watch good games when I can, and this year have managed more than a couple NBA playoff games. And that includes the Lakers, who almost had no business being there. They certainly don’t deserve the amount of press they’re still getting after being eliminated. But aside from the usual LA chaff, the Lakers did have a Cinderella story this year that is nothing short of amazing. His name is Austin Reaves. And he earned a starting job, in the playoffs! Expectations are high for him. But now he’s maybe dating Taylor Swift?

AUSTIN REAVES ABOUT TO MAKE HUGE PAYDAY THIS OFFSEASON, SO MIGHT AS WELL DATE A MUSIC STAR
I mean, wtf? When did Cinderella start dating a Cinderella brand? Outside of porn, that is. But anyway, there’s recent news that Reaves has been seen out and about with Swift in Arkansas. Sure, Reaves made a splash in the NBA that will only get wetter as he may or may not resign with the Lakers. But if he doesn’t, that means LA couldn’t afford to match any offers from other teams trying to steal him away. In other words, he’s about to make a huuuge payday. So Reaves is relevant, and soon to be bankrolled. And Taylor Swift, in the news for her live performances, is also in the news for being recently single.

But here’s the best thing about this story, or rumor, really. It doesn’t matter if it’s not true! It just goes to show the power of any Cinderella story, especially one in LA. And if it’s not true, I would imagine that Reaves is maybe a little confused at the extra attention off the basketball court. And Swift? Considering all the crazy, stupid negative press she gets, I doubt she minds being linked to a guy like Austin Reaves. I mean, the guy is easily likable, and played way better than other Lakers making a lot more money that he was.
That won’t be the case soon! And maybe this random rumor will turn out to be true? And if so, where does Taylor Swift want Austin Reaves to play next year?
