Celebrity Terrorist Rolling Stones Praises Boston Bomber

Roling Stones Magazine wants to encourage more terrorists to swiftly act against America! Outrageous? It’s like the Boston bombers have not killed enough innocent people. The shameless Rolling Stone Magazine really knows how to push America’s buttons. The August issue of the music and pop culture publication will feature a ‘glamorous’ shot of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover.  Putting the Boston Marathon bomber in the same space that is normally occupied by Hollywood actors and rock stars is what many observers are calling the glamorization of Tsarnaev.  Johnny Depp is the currently on the July issue cover.

The cover story is title “The Bomber”, then in small font “how a popular, promising student was failed by his family, fell into radical Islam, and became a monster”.  If you somehow weren’t familiar with the whole Boston Bombing incident (bombings are part of everyday life in some parts of the world), a glance of the cover can easily make Tsarnaev look cool. I mean, isn’t like every kids dream growing up to be on the cover of Rolling Stone?  Glamorization of terrorism is probably not what the world needs.

Words such as “tasteless,” “sickening” and “disgusting” flew around social media.  This is also not the first time the Rolling Stone has put criminals on the cover- their Charles Manson covered the magazine in 1970 with an artsy photograph.  Should Rolling Stone bite the bullet and pull the issue before it hits newsstands, or will this publicity stunt become their highest selling issue of the year?
