Canadian Millennial Idiots, Instagram Cocaine Cruise Convicted!

COCAINE SMUGGLING CRUISE, WITH CANADIAN MILLENNIAL IDIOTS

Stupid is as stupid does, every single time.  But Dumb can sometimes prove to be even Dumber.  That’s the case for one Canadian woman.  Her name is Melina Roberge.  Melina is 24 years old.  That makes her a Canadian millennial.  Millennials often get a bad rap, but they also tend to…. earn a bit of their reputation as idiots.  Melina has certainly done her generation no favors.  Melina set out with two accomplices on a lavish cruise with a final destination of Australia.  But the trip was just a front for a cocaine smuggling operation.  210 pounds of cocaine.  So, like Millennials are wont to do, Melina  documented the whole affair on her Instagram account.  You know, like, evidence?  Authorities certainly thought so.  That’s why Melina will spend four and a half years behind bars. Maybe more.  She got busted for her Instagram cocaine cruise.

The cocaine was found when the cruise ship arrived in Sydney.  How’s that for a nice end to a vacation?  Melina wept in the courtroom and said, “I was meant to just be there and look like I was on holiday and look like a cover for everyone else.  I am really sorry, I should have thought about the consequences and not what I would have gotten for it.”  Ah, Millennials.  Reality never seems to be friendly to them.  The Australian Crown prosecutor in the case was Tom Muir.  He explained to the court that Melina understood her role smuggling the cocaine.  But she was just doing it to fund her fun lifestyle.  “She was not doing it for debt.  It’s for the lifestyle she wants to enjoy.”

DON’T ADVERTISE INSTAGRAM COCAINE CRUISE, POLICE WILL CATCH YOU

Her two accomplices were Isabelle Lagacé and 63-year-old Andre Tamine.  Both are also citizens of Canada.  Roberge and Lagacé posted all the evidence needed on Instagram.  Police just had to look to catch them.  But that Millennial reflex to show off those youthful exploits didn’t work out to well for the three.  Lagacé received a similar sentence to Roberge.  The court will sentence the older Tamine later this year.  The two Instagramming Millennials posted pictures from Tahiti, Peru, Bermuda, Chile, Ecuador and Columbia.  So be careful if you want to smuggle narcotics on a perfect cruise trip.  Don’t partner up with Canadian Millennials for a cocaine smuggling cruise.  They might be an idiot like this one.
