FLASH GORDON HAS BEEN A COMIC, TV SERIES, ANIMATED SERIES AND ONE PERFECT MOVIE SINCE 1934

It first appeared in a comic strip.  Buck Rogers was already around, also as a comic strip, which was the inspiration for what eventually became an amazing 80s movie.  The movie included the stars Sam J. Jones, Melody Anderson, the recently departed Max Von Sydow, the hot Ornella Muti, Timothy Dalton (still weird!) and Brian Blessed.  And seriously, that last is maybe the best unused porn name, ever.  Flash Gordon the movie came out in the year 1980, making it perhaps the ultimate trendsetter in the genre, 80s movies.  And what a high bar it was!  I mean, really, a space opera?

FREDDIE MERCURY’S QUEEN CUT THE ENTIRE, AMAZING SOUNDTRACK, WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

So what else is there to know, if briefly?  Well, how about the fact that the amazing band, Queen, with, you know, Freddie Mercury, did the entire freaking Flash Gordon soundtrack?  That’s right, the whole movie simply rocks, literally, from start to finish.  The only comparison is Prince’s soundtrack for the original Batman movie.  So it is just my humble suggestion that you have yourself a gander at this little piece of movie immortality in the best resolution.  No one has tried another version because failure is inevitable.  And if you have glaucoma, if you know what I mean, sit back, toke it in, and then take it in.  Go, Flash, GO!
