HUMOR AND CYNICISM IS THE WAY TO DO IT
Ever react irrationally during or post breakup? Some people have a really rough time. Especially if they dated a jerk (male or female). Some folks get a haircut, others starve themselves while the rest just workout like mad at the gym. Some people drink. Others sell or give away anything ever related to the person they were with. It’s as if the relationship never happened. It never existed. This is exactly what a woman in New Zealand did. She wants to get rid of her wedding dress fast, because she is furious. Her ad on an auction site is entertaining and pretty disparaging.
AN AUCTION SITE MAY BE THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT
Emma with no last name put up an ad that read: Please help remove this dress from my life, it no longer means anything to me. It is in excellent condition – unlike my marriage. She posted the ad which she explained was, “worn once by mistake” on the site TradeMe (an auction site like Ebay), which is particularly popular in New Zealand. Then she further explained that “it looks stunning on, enough so that it will distract you and your guests from the fact that you are marrying a compulsive liar.” She continued to mention that, “also great evening wear if you enjoy a night out and want people to buy you drinks or would be an excellent outfit choice for house cleaning and dishes (if Disney (role-play) is your thing.”
DRESS MADE FOR A LITTLE GIRL WHO THOUGHT SHE DESERVED LESS
It hasn’t been sold, but if you are interested in buying the wedding dress, Emma said it should fit US size 8-12. It’s an A-line, chiffon gown which can fit a range of sizes. There is an adjustable lace tie in the back which will offer you a better size range. She doesn’t have the exact size and explains that she “cannot provide measurements as this was custom made for a little girl who thought she deserved less than what she was worth and she is now a strong woman – cannot measure up.” It’s a bargain deal, as she is asking of for about $399 NZD, for the dress, with the proceeds paying for a gym membership so she can lose the weight she “…put on from such a miserable marriage.” The current wedding dress bit is $521.89.
WEDDING VEIL REPURPOSED
She said she’s willing to give away the shoes but not the veil. She’s still using it as toilet paper for emergencies.
