UNKNOWN BREWERY COMPANY OFFERS FREE BEER TO HELP FIND THEIR STOLEN VAN
So do you know that story about the kid who told authorities to take the air out of the tires to free the truck stuck under an overpass? I love that story, because it’s plausible and because it’s a story of the obvious solution. But so often, all of us are blind to those. Yet this time, this story celebrates the brilliance of the obvious realized. Some dumbass stole the Unknown Brewery Company’s van down in Charlotte, North Carolina. So what did the people at the company do? They offered a reward of free beer to help find their van. So long story short (crazy short), they found their van.

But let’s not miss the fun details of this story. So last Monday, the brewery posted a video on social media showing three people stealing their van in the early morning. So they posted this message with the video, “Whoever finds it, Brad will buy you a keg party! If you stole it and bring it back, you will also get a keg party (smile for the camera). Please DM us if you see it.” Well, 15 people responded within an hour telling them where the van was. But the winner was Caroline Klimowski, who responded within 42 minutes! That’s how long it took for free beer to find their van!

So of course some people are saying that this is all a publicity stunt. But police think their van was used to break into more than 10 cars in that tiny time period. But I, for one, now want to try the Unknown Brewery Company’s goods. Since they are planning on making a special brew to celebrate their van’s return, I just might have to start with their forthcoming “Van Theft Auto” beer. Anyone care to join me?
