HARVEY WEINSTEIN DID HIS HOTEL BATHROBE DANCE TO GWYNETH PALTROW
So yes, Harvey Weinstein is back in the news. Reporting to the cops and all that in New York City. But we are clearly gonna keep hearing about past events. Either new ones will come out, or new details of ones we thought we knew. This is the latter case. Icon and actress Gwyneth Paltrow did an interview recently on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show. The recalled the situation with Harvey and what came after. Weinstein did his routine with Gwyneth, asking her for a massage in his hotel room. But when her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt found out about it, he wanted to kill Harvey.
BRAD PITT GETS THE WORD, SLAMS HARVEY INTO WALL AT BROADWAY OPENING
All this went down back in the 1990s, which almost feels forever ago. But it is still just yesterday as these stories keep unfolding. Gwyneth remembered, “We had one instance in a hotel room where he made a pass at me. It was weird. I was alone in a room with him.” Paltrow had just signed a contract to make two movies with the disgusting movie mogul. So it was pretty awkward. She immediately told Brad Pitt, who was none too happy. Pitt then confronted Weinstein at the Broadway opening of “Hamlet.” He wanted to kill him. Paltrow said, “It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall.” Pitt supposedly told the disgusting Harvey, “If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.”
BRAD WAS CLOSE, BUT HOW DID NO ONE EVER TRULY PUT HARVEY DOWN?
Way to go, Brad! Too bad Harvey Weinstein kept right on victimizing women after that, though. So far, we know of more than 50 women who have accused Weinstein of sexual assault, harassment and other disgusting stuff. Howard Stern asked Gwyneth if Brad went too far. But she said it was “Fantastic. He leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame and power yet.” But that’s what this was all about, right? Harvey had the power. If a woman wanted to be successful, she had to pay homage to the Emperor who only wore a bath robe.
