Some people do some crazy things. But sometimes those crazy things could cost you your life. That was almost true for 17-year-old Kieran Bewick. Bewick was dating 19-year-old Zoe Adams. Adams planned a fun sexual encounter with Bewick last year. But her intentions went way beyond fun bed play. She dressed up as a clown and put a pillow over Bewick’s head while in situ, cowgirl style. But what she did next was black widow style. She whispered, “trust me.” But then she took a 10-inch knife and stabbed her hubby five times. She stabbed him in the chest, thigh and his arm. One of his lungs collapsed. This is way beyond scary girlfriend territory.

All the details came out in the English Carlisle Crown Court. Before the encounter and stabbing, Adams had texted Bewick that men should only be used for “human sacrifice.” Clearly, he thought she was joking. Adams is a young mother after all. People say crazy things that mean nothing as a game. But this time action followed words. Police had seized Adams iPhone and discovered images that were just as disturbing. One notable was of a woman soaked in blood that included the caption, “Murder is like a bag of chips: you can’t stop after just one.” Clearly there is something wrong with this woman.

But police also found other messages Adams had texted her younger boyfriend. One of them was, “I don’t think about males unless said male is strapped up and being used as a human sacrifice – you should be grateful you are not part of it.” Adams, for her part, told the court she had no memory of the attack. But Judge James Adkin didn’t buy it. He said she planned the attack, bringing both a knife and duct tape to her bedroom in preparation for her “cruel and sadistic” actions. Clowns scare Bewick. But thank god he compromised. He let her put a pillow over his face. But not to let her tape him.

But two things are definitely true. One, Bewick’s fear of clowns is likely to be permanent, as well as emotional scars with the physical ones. Two, the court sentenced Adams to 11 years in prison. Beware black widow ladies, boys. You don’t want to be their hubby. It won’t last long, and neither will you. Remember, cowgirl is a good thing. It’s one of life’s joys. Just never again for poor Bewick.
