A CYCLIST WAS GETTING A BEATDOWN BY MUGGERS, SAVED BY BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH
You don’t hear too often about real-life heroics and stars. Well, I guess you do. But that usually involves them helping someone with medical bills or the like. But real-life, see something going down and personally leap in heroics? Not so much. But today we get to hear about that happening. Benedict Cumberbatch personally jumped into a pretty scary situation and saved someone some major pain at a minimum. He saw a cyclist getting a pretty bad beatdown from a group of muggers and straight up saved him. That’s pretty much a perfect description of a heroic act.

CUMBERBATCH SAW THE SITUATION AND LEAPT OUT OF UBER TO CHASE OFF MUGGERS
Cumberbatch has had some amazing roles in recent years. Many became his fans for his appearances as Sherlock Holmes, Khan Noonien Singh (Khan) and the more recent Dr. Strange. Of course, if you ask any kid who Cumberbatch is, they’ll just know Dr. Strange. But anyway Cumberbatch was heading somewhere in an Uber in London last week. As he was riding along he saw something a bit disturbing on the roadside. There was a cyclist getting a beatdown by a group of people. So what did Cumberbatch do? He had the Uber driver stop the car. Then he jumped out and chased off the muggers. Fortunately for Cumberbatch and the cyclist, they all ran away.

DO THE MUGGERS EVEN KNOW DR. STRANGE PUNKED THEM?
The Uber driver, Manuel Dias, saw the whole thing. He said, “The cyclist was lucky, Benedict’s a superhero. Benedict was courageous, brave and selfless. If he hadn’t stepped in the cyclist could have been seriously injured.” According to Dias, Benedict ran at the muggers while shouting “leave him alone!” He then tried to pull them off until they all ran away. Police reports keeps all names anonymous, but we do know that the muggers wanted to steal the cyclist’s ride. But thanks to Cumberbatch, they fled the scene without stealing anything. Who do you think was more surprised? The cyclist at being saved by a major celebrity? Or the muggers for getting punked by one? We’ll never know.
