We all usually know someone who is about to have a baby.  As is usual, they are probably preoccupied with baby names.  There are so many baby name books and websites devoted to baby names that it could make you insane.  Here’s a sampling of what may be the best names for 2018.  So if you or your friends are on the market for baby names, you may not need to look any further.  From classics to not overused, we will explore some viable options that may intrigue and inspire you. And if you’re not having a baby, but know someone who is having a baby, you may want to hint at some of these awesome baby names.  Besides yours, of course.

NO ONE WANTS TO BE A NEVEAH OR A BOHDI ANYMORE

Old-school man names are becoming the way for many parents.  Ever since Prince George was named, Prince George – old King names have been quite popular. You may consider baby names like:  Arthur, Charles, Louis, James, Henry, Philip, Richard, Daniel, Andrew, Arthur and Spencer.  Alexander is a strong name, and so is William.  What’s old is new again.  Long live the king!

Shakespeare had some wicked fun names for both baby boys and girls.  Duncan, Hamlet, Lear, Banquo, Sebastian, Ajax, Clarence and Edgar for boys.  Portia, Marina, Robin, Desdemona, Gertrude, Alice and Viola are all very fancy names for a baby girl.  These baby names will only inspire an amazing future.  We’re pretty sure that Scottish play is not bad luck when it’s your child.  Hmmmm.

THE 1900’S HAD GOOD NAMES LIKE MACK AND ORA

According to Social Security, the most popular baby names of the 1900s may also intrigue you!  Ranking highest to lowest for boys was:  John, William, James, George, Charles, Robert, Joseph, Frank, Edward and Thomas.  Chester, Homer and Edwin ranked a lot lower but are still awesome.  The highest to lowest for girls was:  Mary, Helen, Margaret, Anna, Ruth, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Marie, Florence and Mildred.  Beula, Susie and Opal also rank a lot lower.  But they’re just as awesome baby names as the lower ranking boys.
