ARTEMIS II WON’T INCLUDE THE LUNAR SURFACE, BUT ARTEMIS III IN THE WORKS SHORTLY AFTER

The 4 Astronauts who will be going to the Moon are Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist 1 Christina Hammock Koch, and Mission Specialist 2 Jeremy Hansen.  This group includes the first woman, first person of color, and the first Canadian ever to go to the Moon.  But it’s worth noting that this Lunar mission will not actually touch down on the moon.  It will take the 4 beyond the moon, possibly further away from the planet Earth than any humans have ever gone before.  But another Lunar mission is in the works for a few years later, where there will be yet another small step for mankind on the Moon’s surface.
