DINOSAUR SCARE IN ELOY, ARIZONA WOMAN CALLS POLICE

And now we bring you the brilliance that shines so bright in Eloy, Arizona.  If you haven’t been to Eloy before you’ll be happy to hear that they have a Jurassic Park attraction to visit there.  But last week the city threw a Day of the Dinosaurs children’s activity in the city’s Main Street Eloy Park.  That sounds pretty cool for families and kids.  But someone didn’t think it was fun.  An Arizona woman was concerned that there were dinosaurs in the park.  So what did she do?  She called the police to report dinosaurs were in the park.  And no, this is not a joke.

ARE SCARY DINOSAURS IN THE ELOY PARK REAL?

The Eloy Police Department released an audio file of a call they received last week.  It’s equal parts hilarious and ridiculous.  An unidentified Arizona woman asked on the recording if there were dinosaurs in the park.  The police operator replies, “yes, there are.”  The operator then informed the caller about the dinosaur day event.  But the woman caller needed more reassurance.  She then asked, “are they real?”  So the police operator then has to reassure the woman that there were no live dinosaurs running around the park.

Seriously.  But the caller then finally agreed that real dinosaurs weren’t possible.  She explained that she was calling to confirm after her brother told her that they were real live dinosaurs.  It’s a good thing the sky wasn’t falling!

DINOSAURS IN ELOY PARK LOOKED TO REAL?

The Eloy Parks and Recreation Department put on the Day of the Dinos children’s event.  Kudos to them!  It sounds like it was fun for the kids.  The group that put on the show was Dino Crew Entertainment.  Greg McGrew, the owner, said that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.  “It actually happens more than you’d think.  You’d be amazed.”  McGrew hadn’t been aware that anyone had called Eloy police.  But McGrew said there were other silly calls.

“My favorite was when animal control was called.”  That one happened in Phoenix.  The animal control officers started laughing as they walked up to investigate.  Thank you, Arizona!  Be careful with all that sun exposure!
