COPS EVERYWHERE MOURN LOSS OF KRISPY KREME TRUCK IN FIRE
So why are Krispy Kreme doughnuts actually Krispy? I never really thought about it. They are delicious. They are luscious. But they are also not really crispy, by any spelling. But maybe now we can call them Krispy after one of their trucks caught on fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries. But the loss of the truck affected America’s finest in a deep way. And that’s because cops love doughnuts. No, it’s really true! I had friends on the Job and they loved their doughnuts. But it did kinda surprise me. So when this truck went up in smoke, it caused cops across the US to mourn the devastating loss.

NO ONE WAS INJURED, NOT EVEN DOUGHNUTS, BUT A TRAGEDY NONETHELESS
But even though there were no injuries, it was a real fire. The Krispy Kreme driver pulled over earlier this week when he realized there was smoke in the cab. He had made a delivery an hour before in Morehead, Kentucky. So it seems the fire was put out pretty fast but you can see the results in the picture. It was a real, Krispy fire. So far we still don’t know what caused the holey blaze. But Lexington police took some photos at the scene and posted them on social media. The first post included the caption, “No words.” Well, come on, guys. Those are two words.

But even though no actual donuts were hurt in the conflagration, police across the US and even across the pond offered their condolences for the tragedy. NYPD tweeted, “Hang tight, we are sending backup forthwith … We hope you like sprinkles.” You get the idea. Usually cops joke over the most morbid things. So it’s nice to see the softer, cream filled side of these flatfoots. Krispy Kreme, for its part, offered condolences on Twitter as well. They told police everywhere they were sending them something to weather the loss.
