Aborted After Launch, Soyuz Rocket Makes Emergency Landing

SOYUZ ROCKET BOOSTER FAILURE SENDS ASTRONAUTS INTO FAST EMERGENCY LANDING MINUTES AFTER LAUNCH

Somehow most people missed this news!  Did you know that last week, there was crazy drama in the sky?  A Russian made Soyuz rocket had to make an emergency landing right after launch.  The  two people on board were reportedly fine and in “good condition” after they made it back to the ground in Kazakhstan.  The two person crew were on their way to the International Space Station, which has already been in the news with possible hole drilling espionage.  But the frightening rocket failure was broadcast live on the internet.  But out here in the West, you would have had to be awake at 4:40 am ET to have witnessed the drama live.  Maybe that’s why no one knows?  No one died and no one here was awake.

ENTIRE DRAMA WAS BROADCAST LIVE ON THE INTERNET, BUT NOBODY KNOWS

The two astronauts were Nick Hague of NASA and the cosmonaut Alexey Ovshinin.  They took off in the Soyuz rocket from the launch site at the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.  It seems that the booster rocket failed just minutes after they left the ground.  NASA tweeted, “The Soyuz capsule is returning to Earth via a ballistic descent, which is a sharper angle of landing compared to normal.  Search and rescue teams are heading towards the expected touchdown location of the spacecraft and crew.”  But everything went perfectly as emergencies go.  The two astronauts landed about 12 miles east of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan.  They were met by the search and recovery team that has done nothing but prepare for this exact emergency situation.  That’s impressive.

SOYUZ ROCKET DRAMA AFTER DRILLED HOLE FOUND ON ISS

But as mentioned above, this has been a rough month for international space travel.  This booster failure follows some even more disturbing, and unprecedented, news.  Astronauts at the International Space Station discovered a hole in another Soyuz capsule, the MS-09, attached to the station.  The hole resulted in an oxygen leak station wide.  It’s not the normal sort of situation as someone drilled the hole!  That’s what you call espionage.  And now we have a booster rocket failure shortly after astronauts found possible espionage.  We’ll just have to wait to hear.  The Russian space agency, Roscosmos, is planning on creating a formal commission to fully investigate what happened.  This is strange.

So stay tuned. Most people haven’t heard about either story.  But what is really going on?
