WTF? George RR Martin Won’t Finish Next GOT Book in 2018

WTF George RR Martin Won’t Finish Next GOT Book in 2018.

GEORGE RR MARTIN LEAVES FANS HANGING YET ANOTHER YEAR

This fuc&ing sucks.  Big time.  A Game of Thrones will NOT have another book released in the year 2018.  While we are already at the end of April, this sucks.  This sucks in an epic way.  Sure, sure, HBO has carried the show forward and beyond where the last published book left off.  And yes, George RR Martin did spend a few weeks with the production in seclusion a few years ago to insure they knew how to end the story line.  You know, in case George RR up and croaks.  It was a real concern to all.  But the next major installment in the GOT storyline, The Winds of Winter, will NOT be happening anytime soon.

THINK YOU GOT GAMES OF THRONES?  YOU GOT TO WAIT SOME DAMN MORE

The tension between many fans and the monumental author is very real.  Some of us, myself included, read the fuc&ing books.  We read them a long time ago.  We read them before the dragons were a gleam in an HBO producer’s eye.  So maybe we read them twice.  But then we read them at least one more time.  We suffered through the sudden popularity of the show and every fuc&ing Millennial’s happy chirping opinion.  The video, Rage of Thrones, captured this perfectly, five fuc&ing years ago.  But for whatever reason, Martin is holding onto this manuscript, yet again, like his precious can’t be parted with.  But it’s our precious too!  We made it precious!  We read the fuc&ing books!

DID YOU READ THE FUC&ING BOOKS?  HBO SPOILERS FOR ALL LITERATE FANS

Martin has written a blog for some time now.  Many, myself included, used to check in fairly regularly, hoping against hope for the miser to deliver golden news of impending publication.  But I stopped three years ago as sometimes it’s not that good to want things and never, ever, get them.  Yet alas, Martin did post of a pending publication date.  But it’s for a side GOT story called Fire and Blood.  Whoopdee doo.  Great.  But in his so saying, he also made it clear that Winds of Winter won’t even arrive when winter comes in 2018.  Unfuc&ing believable.  It’s a sad testament that in these days of techno-philedom, being a fan of the written word is so thoroughly unrequited.  Rage of Thrones lives on and on with never an end in sight.
